This weekend, my sister and her family came up for the weekend. What a fun two days we got to spend with them...we vistited the Monarch Butterfly Grove, Pismo Beach, Avila Barn, and the Castoro Winery in North County! Phew...I am tired!
Here are QUITE A FEW picutres of the fun...for you you mom, dad and grandma!
The next day, we got up and headed out to the Avila Barn. It was a beautiful day...nice weather and not too crowded.
We did some apple picking....
We took a hayride...most of us were literally stuck in the middle, so all of our photos are super close ups! Oh well...it was still a blast!
They were feeling the music!
After the barn, we headed up to North County to visit my sisters old horse, Leah. Mackenzie thinks that Leah is her old horse and wanted to visit her while they were up here. Here is a picture of Mackenzie meeting and feeding Leah.
Grandma spent a weekend helping Max turn into Zoark the Pokemon. He had a ball in his costume, but was sad that most people were not familiar with Zoark. He was asked if he was a horse several times during the trick or treating festivities.
All in all, we had a great time trick or treating with friends and loved our costumes! Thanks, Mimi!
Max found the most beautiful fishing hole near our campsite. It has a quiet pond and some beautiful waterfalls....amazing. Miles, Mark and I went down to join him this morning for some pictures. I am so glad we did!
We haven't seen much of Mia during this vacation. Her best friend in the whole wide world is her cousin Maddi. She wants to spend every available moment with Marie (my sister) and her family...we joke that she is their 4th daughter! We did a bit of boat rotating with the kids today and got to take the kids tubing....Mia joined us! Such a doll!
We have been visiting Bass Lake since the early 1980's. Each summer the Trejo's and the Meister's spend a week on the lake...boating, tubing, floating and just plain enjoying the water. Here are a few photos of our week so far.....
Dave taking Miles on a trip to "the island" to look for some rocks. Miles has decided that when he grows up he wants to be a "rock collector." I say that is fine, as long as they are shiny gold rocks!
So, the first two days out here at the river were HOT!! We got play in Bill and Marie's new boat and jet ski....what fun! On Wednesday, the weather cooled off quite a bit and we got to head out on dirt bikes, quads and the Razor. We had a blast!
We are happy to be spending Spring Break out at the River with my sister Marie and her family. The kids are having a blast!! Monday and Tuesday the weather was HOT, so we spend a lot of time playing on the water. Here are a few pictures of our water fun.....
Although Mia is not feeling well, you would never know it. She is having a great time with her cousins. She is in love with baby Maci.
During February, Max's class got to participate in dance classes taught by a local dancer/instructor. Their dance classes culminated with a performance from his class. These are a few of his good friends that he choreographed a piece with for the final dance.
Every winter, our school has a school-wide jog-a-thon. It is a PTA fundraiser and the kids really look forward to it. Max ran on the "big" track at the same time as Mia ran on the "primary" track. It was quite an adventure for Miles and I, as we ran back and forth between tracks taking pictures.
Have a great weekend!!!
